I first started landscaping in the early to mid 90’s. At first, it was simply a summer job to help pay the bills, but landscaping soon evolved into a sincere passion. I spent the next 18 years working hard, learning new skills, and growing my knowledge. I was very fortunate to have had some tremendous mentors who taught me not just about the x’s and o’s of the trade, but about the commitment to doing the job right. For 6 of these years, I ran my own landscape company, and have a true appreciation for what challenges a small to mid-size company may face. It has given me an understanding of the importance to clearly define the ideal client, always communicate effectively, and to deliver the highest level of customer service. I believe entrepreneurs must exhibit skills like problem solving, crisis management, clear communication and attention to detail. They must possess qualities such as reliability, dedication and the ability to be a life-long learner.
